A History of Caring

Disability Services Resource Center (DSRC) was founded in 1933 and is dedicated to helping people with disabilities in Bay County.

Our mission is to serve individuals who are temporarily and permanently disabled with awareness, support, and recreational opportunities. We believe that all people, regardless of their disability, should have the opportunity to experience the rich rewards of daily living.

Pre-Admission opens annually in mid-April and is due by May 22. Cost for this 6-week, Mon.-Thurs. program, that runs mid-June-late July (less July 4), is $425 (reduced price for 2024 only because of available grant funds). Various ways to raise the funds are available. ALSO, DSRC will provide Campership Scholarships for children and adults with special needs to attend educational and recreational camps of their choice throughout the state of Michigan that are not hosted by DSRC.
